Sugar Water

Dr. Coolidge stirred a teaspoon of sugar into a glass of warm water.  The sugar completely dissolved in the water.  Which of the following statements are true?

A. The sugar melts.
B. The sugar loses mass.
C. The sugar turns into water molecules.
D. The sugar forms a mixture with the water.
E. The sugar can be separated from the water.
F. The sugar disappears and no longer exists.
G. The sugar molecules are spread among the water molecules.
H. The sugar breaks down into individual atoms that make up sugar.
I .  The sugar chemically combines with the water to form a new substance

  1. I think c the suger molicules turn into water moliculs.

  2. I think C the sugar tuns into water

  3. Because the suger desulves into the water and turns into the water molicules.

  4. Ment sugar molecules because when Dr. Coolidge put the sugar it dezolved.

  5. I think it is G because the sugar can't really turn into water becasue it desolved

  6. I think its C because if you put sugar in water and set it out the sugar dissolved.

  7. Georgia I disagree because the sugar dissolves in the water and turns into water molecules.

  8. I disagree with seth because if you evporate the water the sugar will still be there. Only because sugar molicules can't turn into water molicules.

  9. I agree with Georgia L. because sugar can't turn in to water like Georgia L. said. So I agree with Georgia L.

  10. i argreee with Georiga and Claire B because the sugar can't turn into water so i agree with Georiga and Claire B

  11. I disagree with Georgia L, Claire B, and Cameron because the sugar stays in the glass and the sugar does not loose any mass so I think the answer is c

  12. I mean lose not loose

  13. I think it's D because the water mixes with sugar.

  14. I think that it is D,E,and G.

  15. i think it is C because if u stir the sugar will get smaller and smaller and eventually turn into water.

  16. I agree with Mary Ann... I think it is C because the sugar doesn't lose any mass

  17. i agree with melanie.....I think c becaus I think that the sugger promlem disolve into the water afer a store.

  18. I think it is G because sugar can't dessolved and the water has allready dessolved.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think it is G because the sugar dosent just dissapere

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think it is G because the sugar doesnt just dissapere

    ReplyDelete
  21. i think its c because the water after a period of time disolves

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think I beacause it does'nt say to mix and if you mix it ot does'nt disaper it mix'es and makes a new substance.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I agree with georgia.L thet it is G. i think it is G because the water molicules disolve with the sugar molicules and it makes a solution then disolves

  24. I think the answer is C because I have done that before and the sugar turns into water molecules.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I mean A,B,C,D,G,I.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think its c because sugar can easily join other molecules but over time it can become part of the molecules its surround by

  27. oops forgot the peried

  28. I agree with Belynne. The suger does dissolve for sure. I dont think its posble for the water chemical to form a new subsence.

  29. I think the answer is G because the sugar is at the bottom of the cup and if you just leave it out the sugar molecules dissolves but the water evaporates and the sugar is still there.

  30. I think its C because the sugar desolves into to the water.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I agree with yaser because the sugar desolves into water

    ReplyDelete
  32. I agree with Mary Ann and Melanie because the sugar disolves into the water.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think it's G because sugar can't physicaly break down and turn into water.

    ReplyDelete
  34. D & E. Because when you mix the water if it evaporates the sugar will still be in the cup and it is pretty easy to seporate.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I disagree with the answer c, becaue if you left the water out long enough it would evaporate and the sugar would still be in it's container

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think it is C, the water will turn into molecules.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think it is c because the molecules have to go somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think it is D.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think it is E,and G. E because the sugar will sink to the bottom if you leave it out for a little bit. G because the volume of water in the glass is a lot more then the amount of sugar in a teaspoon so the sugar spreads out in the water

  40. I agree with Crystal and other people who vote for C,the water will turn into molecules because it does not loose mass

    ReplyDelete
  41. So yeah..........

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree with D voters because like I said earlier c the sugar will disappear when the molecules will change. Now I think the sugar and the water molecules form a mixture. ☻

  43. Is anyone there? :(

    ReplyDelete
  44. kaion i desagree with u becuase the sugar is so small that it can just turn into the water molliculs

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think it is d because it is not just sugar or just wateer but it is sugar water.the water forms a mixture whith the water.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think the answer c

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think the answer is c because, the sugar will desolve in the water and turn into water molecules.

    ReplyDelete
  48. i don't think C is the right answer because the molecules of the sugar can't magically turn into water molecules. I think it is G because the sugar just doesn't float way they dissolve and spread among the molecules.

    ReplyDelete
  49. i agree with you georgia because it makes mor since that the sugar would spread among the water molicules

    ReplyDelete
  50. i do not, i think its we (sugar can be separated from water) because its true. if you let the water avaporate, you will find sugar left
